I have been studying submission, and while I have been gaining head knowledge it has been slow to translate into changed behavior (I come from a very feminist, female dominated type of family). Sunday night I apologized to Wayne for not being submissive. Then when we discussed submission in our group tonight I kept thinking “Do I really want to be saying this in a group with my husband” and “ Now I am completely with out excuse.” This is where I say either “Thank you” or “Aaaah! What have you done”. Now my husband knows that I do know exactly what it means to be submissive and I am completely with out excuse.

Your sermon covered so many other topics. It was sort of like skimming a rock across a really large lake. There are some great resources for those who want to delve deeper. Ted Tripp’s book “Shepherding a Child’s Heart” is an awesome resource on Biblical and Gospel centered parenting. “The Exemplary Husband” by Stuart Scott (Associate Pastor at John MacArthur’s church) and the companion book “The Excellent Wife” by Martha Peace along with the workbooks are just amazing at describing the godly husband and godly wife. And one of my favorites “Liberated Through Submission – God’s Design for Freedom in All Relationships” by P.B Wilson is wonderful on the topic of submission. For those desiring a godly marriage and family, I highly recommend all of them.Suzettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05051833689756139507noreply@blogger.com
