still itchy
After a week and a half, I'm still battling this nasty case of poison oak. Its gotten in my head and driven me just about crazy. Scalding hot showers and oatmeal baths seem to provide the best 4-5 hours of relief. Even today, I'm not sure if its spreading or subsiding. It wakes me up at night and then I can't get back to sleep for at least an hour. I haven't wanted to blog or do anything else of substance. It has sucked my energy and my focus. I go a good portion of the day without touching it, but then it sneaks up on me with a vengeance and a I find myself tearing at my skin.
Not fun. I'm tempted, but won't post pics. I appreciate your prayers as I really can't take any more time away as I prepare for Sunday.

Icky! Sorry to hear you've got poison oak. Now's the time when you really have to watch out for it, especially in the hills around SLO.
Yikes! Have you seen a dr.? Maybe they can give you some prednisone or something?
Don't you love how everyone is an "expert" at whatever malady somebody else has?
Anyways, I just found out you guys were living in AG when I ran into half your family at Trader Joe's the other day (where have I been?!). Let us know if you need anything while you're under the weather. We South County people have to stick together!
Prednisone and the ocean. That's what helped Dan. ;)
Tim,
I had not heard you got the creeping crud. I can relate. I get it REALLY bad too.
My arm looked like hamburger last year, but fortunatly it stayed pretty local. It drained and oozed for two weeks.
Pregnazone zapped it for me. I also used a lot of anti itch cream.
I am praying for you. (I am convinced that poison oak and mosquitoes are part of the curse and the fall of creation)
Dave
Been there... no fun.
You should definitely get some medicine, it'll be gone before you know it.
