updated blog roll

I just updated the "Other Blogs of the GraceSLO community because I noticed that blogger now offers a widget that gives you an option to see when the featured blogs have been updated last. Most recent blogs are then pushed to the top of that list. I think that's pretty cool.

I believe I've got the most comprehensive list of GraceSLO related blogs that's out there. Now instead of clicking to each one, you can use Life Together to see who is updating and when.

If you or someone you know in the GraceSLO community has a blog, let me know and I'll add them to the growing list. . . .I'm happy to mention them in a post when I add them to the blogroll.

Blogs are one way for us to connect and keep up with one another's lives.

Two More

Here's another two:

Robbin Mote at http://robbin-twiceadopted.blogspot.com/Robbin has worked in our office, I think, twice as long as I've been at the church and she's attended Grace for something like 30 years. She and Dan are actively involved in Student Ministries. I've been encouraged reading Robbin's recent posts.

Heather Kelley at http://cmbyheather.blogspot.com. Heather is another long time Gracer, also involved in Student Ministries, but she recently set out for Texas. Why Texas? You'll have to read her blog to follow her story.

This Week's New Blogs

Found 2 more. . .

The Martin Family at http://martinfamblog.blogspot.com/ Jeff and Jenn are good friends and actively involved in leading one of our South County Growth Groups. They're both into cycling. Jeff is into fishing. Jeff is one of the most encouraging guys I know. He wasn't sure about going public with the blog, but I encouraged him to let his light shine. He finally gave me permission to share his address.

The Badger Family at http://keithandcara.blogspot.com/Actively involved here at Grace for years and most recently as Growth Group leaders. Many of you know that Cara is now battling cancer, just after the birth of their second little girl. They're sharing their journey on their blog. I loved the post after the worship service last Sunday. We're committed to loving this family through this horrendous trial.

I've added them to the sidebar. It's getting to be quite a list. Am I missing any? Let me know.

newly discovered blogs . . .

I found 4 new GraceSLO blogs without even looking . . .

Here they are:

the Peek Family at peekfamilyforjesus.blogspot.com . . . the Peeks are a really neat relatively new family at Grace . . . . they live in South County (Grover Beach, me thinks), but working hard to get involved at Grace.

Penny Malley at pennymalley.blogspot.com . . . Penny is married to Ted, one of our Grace elders, and the busy mother of 4. The Malleys live out in Los Osos and are quite involved at Grace!

Anna Lyons at annalyons.blogspot.com . . . Anna is a recently graduated college student and recently engaged to Jason Evangelista (You didn't know?) . . . . and actively involved in our ministry here at Grace. She's a cyclist, too!

The all new Grace Student Ministries Blog at gsmslo.blogspot.com. . . Looks to me like Ben Collins is leading the charge, but I'd like to see Todd Roughton also do some posting, so let's all bug him about it. (BTW, these guys are both on Facebook, but don't tell them I told you.) If you've got students, you're going to to want to hook into this blog to stay up to date with the very latest Student Ministries happenings.

All four have been added to the sidebar. Click over and check them out, leave a comment and encourage their authors.

Also, I noticed that the recent vids from last weekend's Fall Forward are now posted at fallforwardfilms.com. I haven't watched them myself yet, but I'm sure they are "Ernstrom Hilarious" and well done. My kids are going to be bugging me to see them. The question is, "Can they play on my iphone?" If not, I make a motion that they be uploaded to youtube. Do I have a second?

Finally, I'm thinking about changing the address of life together to simply lifetogether@blogspot.com. I've had the address reserved for a while, but I'm scared to death make the switch. Does anyone know if I can move all my history and posts over to the new URL? That would be optimum.
