allenpeek said...: I like what Darren Patrick had to say in this video – right on. The thing I don’t understand is why this Brother and the Acts 29 ministry would recommend books written by false teachers (Dallas Willard & Richard Foster) on The Resurgence web site.

Richard Foster is a proponent of the false teaching of contemplative prayer (Spiritual Disciplines). Tim Keller has bent the same way and I just don’t understand why these Brothers would do such a thing. Darren Patrick and Tim Keller are NOT heretics, but they definitely openly promote a kind of contemplative spirituality at their churches - even endorsing books from authors that are highly questionable. Otherwise, I like what Darren Patrick had to say in the video.

I know that I personally need an older, wiser, godly man in my life to shepherd me. I’ve never known that kind of relationship.; 10:07 AM
