this is the Lord's doing

The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.

This is the LORD’S doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.

Psalm 118:22 • Matthew 21:42

That Rejected Stone is my life, my only purpose, and my only hope. I just wish that my actions lined up better with that statement.

Looking at the cross makes me mourn my sin and rebellion (which I'm still committing and I HATE that), then revel in God's love.

How marvelous, how wonderful
and my song shall ever be.

How marvelous, how wonderful
is my Savior's love for me.

Amazing love,
How can it be
That thou my God
Should die for me.

(I hope we are singing some good 'cross' hymns at the Good Friday service tonight. If not, maybe I'll just have to sing them at home.)

I appreciate the Good Friday service and communion. The method of waiting and going to the Lords table was an important spiritual experience. The intimate prayer with my family and daughter witnessing this experience really helped me get out of the week and into the significance and rememberence of the Cross.
