Back from Camp
We're back from Family Camp out at Campus by the Sea on Catalina Island. It was a great week of family fun and learning. Highlights of the week included line dancing, talent show night, 8 mile hike to Avalon with Sage, Eden and Zeke, boat race, Zeke catching his first fish, snorkeling with the kids, great creative family devotions and so much more. . .
It was such a blessing to have the Lyons, Weavers and Kardels with us. Wish you could have been there.
We've posted lots of pics on our flickr site, so you can see the fun and the beautiful setting. Click here to see a slide show.

Wow, you got your kids to go on an 8 mile hike? That's impressive. I never would have done that when I was their age. Hmm...I doubt I'd even do that today..haha.
Looks like you had a lot of fun, though.
Great week.
This is the place if you are looking for really good family vacation that includes plenty of play time with the kids, a safe place for them to do their own thing, time with people who are serious about serving the Lord (and His people) and teaching their kids to do the same, teaching from the Word, singing to the Lord, and good wholesome funny stuff.
I have no idea if we will be able to do it again next year, but I would love to. I totally understand why there were so many people who have been going there for 20+ years.
Thanks for the recommendation, Tim.
We were really blessed by the week. My favorite moment was the last day during the "Butterfly Song". Instead of just standing there staring in space like he did all week he did all the motions and laughed with glee with his third grade helper. A sweet girl with Down syndrome who taught Luke all the motions, kept him focused and laughed with him.
Loved all your picures.
