Zeke the Zebra

So a couple weeks back on a Sunday after church, we are all just kicking back as a family trying to enjoy some Sabbath rest, when Eden says she wants to do some face painting. Susie and I are too exhausted to stop her, so she and Zeke disappear for a little while and then Zeke comes back with his face painted like a Zebra. We all just laughed and laughed and he and Eden were both so stoked. Classic! Not bad for a six year old face painter eh? Dori, sign her up!

Anonymous,
Actually, we have a Harvest Festival at Grace. It will be on October 31st.

I'm curious about your judgemental comments. There is no indication on this post to even suggest that Halloween was even a motivation for the face painting. Not to mention that the incident occurred several weeks ago, further removing it from the Halloween context.

So what's the deal?

Lighten up! Maybe anonymous has a sense of humor. Or worse, maybe he/she sees the deeper irony in our calling him judgmental while turning our wrath on Harry Potter, Halloween or the Teletubbies (sometimes without taking the time to know what we're talking about) We gotta be able to take criticism (if that's what it was) without being so defensive.

I'm with Solina. . . I actually thought Anonymous was being funny, too. I wondered if it was my brother, but he swore it wasn't. The comment dialogue is cracking me up!

Wasn't your anonymous brother-in-law either. Three cheers for Eddy cooking up something really creative, though!
